Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint or Access… All are components of Microsoft Office.
But what if you corrupted your settings or entire profile?
There are several ways to solve this, I will describe two of them.

The first is called “Detect and Repair” (in Office 2007 it’s named “Office Diagnostics”), which can be found in Outlook under Help –> Detect and Repair.

Watch out for the “Discard my customized settings and restore default settings”. Most add-ons must be reconfigured if you enable this!

The second is called the “Profile Wizard”, which can be found under %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\11\Office11\proflwiz.exe.

Both options can be very useful to communicate to your end-users in order to reduce calls to your helpdesk…
